How to block apps and websites on iOS?
In this article, you will find a step-by-step guide on how to block distractions on your iOS device. You can choose between two methods: limiting total usage time for specific apps ("Block by App Usage") or strictly blocking access during specific times ("Block by Schedule").
Option 1: Block by App Usage (Time Limits)
Best for limiting total time spent on apps. Note: This only blocks apps, not websites.
Open the BlockSite app and tap the "Block something" button
Select "Block by App Usage"
Enable Screen Time permissions when prompted (necessary for this feature)
Search for or choose the apps you wish to limit and click "Next"
Select the days and set your daily time limit (hours and minutes)
Name your Group and click "Done"
Option 2: Block by Schedule (Strict Blocking)
Best for blocking apps, websites, keywords, or categories during specific hours.
Open the BlockSite app and tap the "+ Create" button
Select "Block by Schedule"
Ensure the BlockSite VPN is enabled when prompted (necessary for blocking sites)
Choose the websites, apps, or categories you wish to block and click "Next"
Set up the schedule for when the blocking should be active
Name your Group and click "Done"
